Jr. Fire Chief for a Day

On Friday, October 28th, Grade 1 student Abigail Pajunen got a chance to be Dinsmore's Jr. Fire Chief for a Day. In order to be entered in the draw, students in Kindergarten to Grade 3, were asked to take home a Fire Safety package and return the signed permission form, along with their creative version of a fire hydrant. Abigail's name was selected from those entries received.
Abigail (and her sister Charity) were picked up at their house by Deputy Chief Jason Sawyer and Fire Fighter Trevor Rolleston. They received a tour of the local fire hall before being driven to school in the Engine 8.
