55th Annual DCS curling bonspiel

The 55th Annual Dinsmore Composite School High School Bonspiel was played on Jan. 27/28 at the Dinsmore Memorial Arena. 10 teams (38 students) made up of Grade 7-12 students competed over the 2 days. The students practiced and honed their skills in a curling unit in Mr. Morrison's PE classes. The unit culminated in the Bonspiel. The modified triple knockout tournament crowned A, B, C champions. Thank you to all the DCS students for showing tremendous sportsmanship, it was also great to see everyone having so much fun. The fans were treated to such great games to watch that it was hard to get a seat. Thank you to all the local businesses in our surrounding communities that supported the bonspiel by donating prizes. Thank you to the DCS staff for supervising the event and our local rink groups for running the rink kitchen.

The A event of the Bonspiel was won by the Ethan Thomson team with 3rd Jordyn Mann, 2nd Sara McPhail and Lead Eric Thomson. The B event winner was the Parker Atkinson team. The C event was won by the Leah Williamson team.
